What we publish and how we handle information
Daily Jail Reports is a public-records site. It is not a background-check product and is not intended to be used as one. It is not subject to the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). A booking or arrest is not a conviction — everyone shown here is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
1. What we publish
We publish booking and bond information parsed from public reports issued by Tarrant County law-enforcement agencies: the Sheriff’s Office Daily Booked-In Reportsand Daily Bond Reports. These are public records released under the Texas Public Information Act (Tex. Gov’t Code Ch. 552).
Person pages show name, CID, booking history, charges as listed on the official report, bond amounts where present, age, race, sex, and reported city. We do notdisplay mugshots and we do not display exact street addresses. See Methodology for how the data is parsed.
2. Age, not date of birth
The source PDFs include full dates of birth. We do not republish those. On-site profiles and generated person-report PDFs show age, computed from the DOB, and do not print the date of birth itself.
3. What we do not publish or track
This site does not track:
- Case outcomes (dispositions, sentences, appeals)
- Sealed or expunged records
- Warrants that were not part of a booking
- Immigration status
For current custody status, court dates, and case outcomes, use the Tarrant County Inmate Search and official court records.
4. Accounts and alerts
Almost every record on the site is visible without an account. An account is only needed for the watchlist and alert features (get notified when a specific name, CID, or charge category appears in a new booking) and the account page.
Sign-in uses Google, brokered by Emergent’s authentication service at auth.emergentagent.com. When you sign in, we receive your Google name, email, and profile picture. A session token named tc_intel_session_token is stored in a cookie so you stay signed in between visits.
Watchlist entries you create (name, CID, or charge category) are stored so we can match them against incoming bookings. There is currently no self-service account or watchlist deletion screen. To delete your account, remove watchlist entries, or export what we have, email privacy@dailyjailreports.com.
5. Third parties running code on this site
The following third parties run code on this site and receive data as part of normal operation. We do not currently use any advertising network, newsletter vendor, or payment processor.
- Google Analytics 4 — records aggregated usage (pages viewed, referrer, coarse location, device type).
- PostHog, loaded from Emergent (ap.emergent.sh), with session recording enabled. This captures interactions and can replay them for product debugging.
- Emergent — hosts the site and provides the authentication service described in section 4.
If you fill out the sponsor inquiry form, we collect your name, email, business, industry, and message so we can reply.
6. Corrections, takedowns, and contact
For factual corrections against the source report (misspelled name, wrong charge, mismatched booking number), email corrections@dailyjailreports.com with the booking number and a description of the discrepancy. We review against the source and update where the underlying public record agrees.
For privacy questions, account or watchlist deletion, or a data-access request, email privacy@dailyjailreports.com.
